Meredith Kercher’s killer Rudy Guede on brink of freedom 14 years after Brit student’s savage death
The Sun says THE man convicted of killing British university student Meredith Kercher in 2007 is on the brink of freedom – just 14 years after her savage death.
Rudy Guede, 34, who was convicted in 2008, was to complete his sentence on January 4 but he could be out sooner after he asked the courts to reduce it by 45 days.
Guede’s lawyer, Fabrizio Ballarini, said on Monday that his client had a “good chance” of cutting his sentence and that the supervising magistrate was evaluating his request.
If the request is granted, Guese would be released from his sentence straight away.
“We don’t know when the decision will come, it could be tomorrow morning, the end of this week or early next, Mr Ballarini said.
