George Roberts won’t feature in the MAFS UK Christmas special (Picture: E4)
Married At First Sight’s George Roberts will not be returning for the upcoming Christmas special, it has been reported.
It comes after Metro.co.uk confirmed earlier this week that fellow stars Matt Murray and Gemma Rose would be missing the festive episode.
Roberts, who is no longer with partner April Banbury, was arrested at the beginning of the month on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour just days after Channel 4 defended casting him after three of his exes reportedly raised concerns about him.
Regarding the arrest in Worcestershire, it was said that he denied any wrongdoing and was bailed by Scotland Yard with investigations still ongoing.
The Sun claims Roberts will not attend the reunion, which has completed filming, and will see faces from the last two series. E4 is expected to announce casting in the coming weeks.
Metro.co.uk previously reported that Gemma had pulled out of an appearance in the Christmas episode.

‘Gemma was intending on attending the Christmas reunion as she was asked to be part of the cast but after the show airing and seeing how they edited her she has since decided to not work with Channel 4 again,’ her rep confirmed to us.
On top of that, Gemma’s former husband Matt has also ruled himself out of appearing at the reunion after being left ‘traumatised’ due to appearing on the series.

‘Matt has gone [on holiday] to recover from the trauma of the show, as you’ll have seen on Tuesday night it’s taken a toll on his emotional wellbeing,’ they told us.
The rep also explained Matt was on holiday with former Married At First Sight UK star Marilyse Corrigan, with Marilyse supporting Matt as a friend.

‘Marilyse knows oh too well how the public reaction can impact the mental health of the men on the show as she saw how it impacted Franky, so she’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him,’ they continued.
‘She’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion.’

Married At First Sight UK is available to stream on All4.
