A former Love Island star has revealed he was involved in a car accident, sharing an update with fans about the incident.
Tom Clare, 24, appeared on the reality series earlier this year, where he coupled up with Samie Eilishi.
They made it all the way to the final, where they were eventually named in third place, however broke up about a month after leaving the villa.
Since then he’s returned to his career as a professional footballer, however the sportsman had a close call after being in an accident while behind the wheel.
This week he posted a photo on social media in which he was laying on his bed settling in to watch Netflix.
He wrote: ‘Ended up in a car accident this morning.

‘Wasn’t my fault and luckily nobody was hurt.
‘Car’s gone into the garage and now getting a hire car.’
He doesn’t seem to have been too banged up though, with the former reality star later sharing a topless selfie on his Instagram and writing: ‘Who’s that fool with his top off and Uggs on.’
When news of Tom and Samie’s break-up was revealed, a source said they had been struggling to do long-distance.

‘Samie and Tom have sadly decided to call it a day. There is a lot of love and respect there but it just wasn’t going anywhere,’ and insider told The Sun.
‘The distance between them was too much and they are both really focused on their careers post Love Island.’
He later confirmed the news, adding they were ‘still on good terms’ and he had ‘nothing but love and respect for her’.
He added: ‘I’m gutted it’s come to an end, but I truly wish Samie the best.’
