Julia Fox has set the record straight over her recent weight loss.
The Uncut Gems star, 33, was hit by rumours that she’s taken Ozempic, an FDA- approved prescription medication used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes only.
It is not a weight loss medication, nor is it intended for people without diabetes to take, and its side effects can be severe.
However, it can result in weight loss, specifically a reduction in waist circumferance.
But when it comes to Julia, she assures she ‘works hard’ for the figure she has.
Speaking during a recent episode of her podcast Forbidden Fruits, the actress said: ‘All these people are coming for me saying that I take the weight-loss things… people are saying that I’m taking Ozempic or whatever it’s called.

‘I’m not, and I never have. I would never do that. There are diabetics that need it.’
Julia’s co-host Niki Takesh then chimed in: ‘It’s a diabetes medication and there’s people that actually need it.’
The star’s denial comes after Julia said she lost 15lbs while dating Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West.
She previously said the whirlwind romance wasn’t a ‘sustainable relationship’, having dated Ye for just six weeks at the beginning of 2022.
Julia told The New York Times: ‘I tried my best to make it work. I already had a jam-packed life. How do I fit this really big personality into this already full life?’
‘It just wasn’t sustainable,’ she added. ‘I lost like 15Ibs in that month.’

Despite the constant chatter around their fling, Julia insisted she’s never given any attention to the criticism the former lovers faced online.
‘It’s not real. It’s only happening on the internet. I’m not actively engaging with it. I don’t feel it,’ she said.
‘I’m still 1,000% me. Nothing’s changed, except, I will say, having been around Kanye was like a crash course on how to be famous.’
Julia isn’t the first star to have been hit by rumours of using drugs to slim down.
In January, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards was eager to silence reports that she was taking Ozempic, after she posted a photo of herself in a bikini.

‘I am NOT taking Ozempic. Never have,’ she wrote in response to a fan’s claim.
She added in another comment: ‘I have never tried Ozempic and this is not from plastic surgery. I did have a breast reduction in May.’

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Real Housewives of Miami’s Alexia Nepola denied that she and Marysol Patton used Ozempic during a recent episode of the show.
Nepola told Page Six that they were taking in B-12 injections for ‘energy’ and to give them ‘other nutrients’.
