Chelsea star Jorginho has rejected the club’s latest contract proposal and is instead seeking a salary increase of around 25%.
The Italian is out of contract at the end of the season and he’s received interest from Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan.
The midfielder joined the club from Napoli in a £52m deal in 2018, rejecting a move to Manchester City in the process.
The 30-year-old is vice-captain at Stamford Bridge and after a difficult start, he’s now a fans’ favourite at the club.
But while Chelsea are keen to keep the Italian, the club have only offered the midfielder an extension of his current deal – meaning Jorginho would remain on the same salary.
According to the Evening Standard, those terms are not good enough for the Italian and he wants an improved deal like the one Cesar Azpilicueta recently signed.

The Spaniard recieved improved terms to put him on around £150,000-a-week, which is what Jorginho is seeking.
Chelsea are keen to tie Jorginho down before January 1st, when he’ll be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.

It comes with N’Golo Kante in a similar situation to the Italian.
The Frenchman rejected Chelsea’s last offer, with the midfielder seeking a three-year deal rather than the two-year proposal the club made to him.
However, Chelsea are concerned by Kante’s injury problems and they want the 30-year-old to take that into account.
