Joey Essex has set his sights on finding a new girlfriend following his split from Dancing On Ice star Vanessa Bauer – and has even taken a shining to actress Lily James.
The reality star, 32, parted ways from Vanessa, 26, last month just one day after going official with their romance.
But Joey hasn’t let the break-up dampen his spirits, as he’s keen to find love again and has expressed a desire to get married in his hometown of Essex.
‘I’m in the best shape of my life, I’m single and getting my life together,’ he said. ‘If a nice, kind girl walks into my life I’d get to know her.
‘I’d like a girlfriend, but she needs to fit into my jigsaw puzzle. I’ve had some nice girlfriends over the years, but I need a girl to lift me up and put a smile on my face every day.’

He added to The Sun on Sunday that he likes keeping up with Pam and Tommy actress Lily, who recently split from rocker Michael Shuman, on social media.
‘She’s a sort,’ he continued. ‘She looks good and seems like a nice girl — and we’re both single.’

Sources claimed that Joey parted ways from Vanessa in April so that he could focus on his career.
‘Joey absolutely loved his time performing with Vanessa on Dancing On Ice – he will treasure those memories forever,’ an insider said.

‘But for now, he’s focussing on work opportunities and beginning a new chapter in Dubai,’ they added, as the I’m A Celebrity campmate is reportedly eyeing up a move overseas to start a new life.
‘He’s definitely single and while Vanessa means a lot to him because of the experience they shared on the show, they’re just friends now.’
