Jeremy Clarkson has finally shared news about his farm that fans have been waiting over a day for.

On Thursday the former Top Gear presenter, 63, teased that there was ‘fantastic news’ on the horizon.

Posting on Twitter, he wrote: ‘Stand by for some fantastic news from Clarkson’s Farm.’

Anticipation was high, with fans of the show speculating he could be confirming another season, while others guessed it might have something to do with the inner workings of the property.

Those people were correct, with Jeremy now revealing that the news was related to some adorable animals being born.

‘And here is the fantastic news. A HUGE amount of piglets,’ he shared on social media on Friday night.

He shared that several piglets had been born at Diddly Squat (Picture: Jeremy Clarkson/ Twitter)

His post and three photos of the piglets delighted fans, many of whom offered their congratulations.

‘Wow, brilliant news,’ one person commented.

‘This is awesome,’ someone else said.

However, many others offered reminders of the reality of running a farm, with lots of bacon related jokes.

One person did write: ‘You’re going to break my heart when the season finale is you eating them in a sandwich.’

Earlier this year Jeremy admitted to having sleepless nights after having to give up some of the animals on his Diddly Squat Farm.

Explaining the ‘gut-wrenching’ decision to give up seven of his male pigs, he wrote in his Sunday Times column: ‘I can never sleep properly the night before they go, and all the way to the slaughterhouse I have what feels like a hot cricket ball in the pit of my stomach.’

‘And then when it’s finally time to say goodbye, I always become a little bit unmanly.

‘I know that I’m trying to be a farmer and that this is what farmers do. And I know I will enjoy the bacon and ham and pork chops that result.’

But he added that it was ‘not easy taking seven happy, healthy pigs from their woodland home to their deaths.

Clarkson’s Farm is streaming on Prime Video.
