Jennifer Garner took a stroll in NYC in some casual attire after a clip of her questioning Regina King’s family ancestry back in 2017 resurfaced online.
The PS I Love You star wore a small gold pendant, a plain black T-shirt, with some white jeans and a leather medium-sized bag for the stroll.
She wore her hair down, and her face looked o-natural.
This appearance comes after a video clip from 2017 of Netflix’s Dinner Party: My Experience recently resurfaced and went viral.
In it, the 51-year-old Daredevil star is filmed having dinner with fellow actors including Mary McCormack, Regina King and Chelsea Handler, as they discussed their families and ‘where they came from.’
Introducing the topic, Chelsea encouraged Regina to go first, and the Ray actress replied: ‘I grew up here in LA, born and bred, one of the few people that are born and bred in LA so that’s I think a very cool thing and I wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people say, “Oh, LA is this and LA is that,” and I’m like, well, you’re not from LA, so you don’t really know it.’

Jennifer, looking at Regina, then asked: ‘But do you know where your ancestors are from?’
Regina looked uncomfortable at this, and answered: ‘Uh, yeah, we’re part of the triangle slave trade between Sierra Leone, Liberia and Senegal but my parents are both from the South.’
She added: ‘To this day, I’m totally grateful my mum left. My mum was the one that was like, “I am f*****g out of this b***h” and I’m going to see what else is out here”, and she came to LA.’
Many people in the Black community felt there were ‘microagressions’ behind Jennifer’s question, with one person commenting: ‘This p***ed me off. And the look in her eyes before she asked said it all.’
Another wrote: ‘I’m glad Regina King is a class act because ain’t no way I would’ve just sat there w/o checking Jennifer Garner!! This is the micro aggression we as black women talk about ! I would’ve asked her “do you know where your ancestors stole mine from.’
But some people supported Jennifer, with one person commenting: ‘This convo was about politics race religion nationality culture etc. The question was actually right on task… this is why we can’t judge from a 30 second clip. If i didn’t know the background of the video , I also would’ve assumed that she was being malicious as well lol. They were all asking each other these types of questions. Actually was a great convo.’
