Israel-Gaza war: Amnesty accuses Israel of genocide against Palestinians

Amnesty evaluated 15 Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip. And no evidence was found that they were directed against military targets. For human rights activists, this only allows one conclusion.

In a new report, the human rights organization Amnesty International accuses Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. “Our research shows that the State of Israel has committed genocide for months and continues to do so,” said the Secretary General of Amnesty International in Germany, Julia Duchrow, on Thursday. This was done “in the full knowledge” that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip “have been inflicted irreparable harm.”

The report, entitled “‘You Feel Like You Are Subhuman’: Israel’s Genocide Against Palestinians in Gaza,” is said to investigate 15 airstrikes between October 7, 2023, and April 20, 2024. At least 334 civilians were killed and hundreds of people injured. Amnesty International said it found “no evidence that these attacks were directed at military targets.”
