Former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks is expecting her first child, and has opened up about the thing that has surprised her most about pregnancy.
Jazmine played Esther Bloom on the Channel 4 soap between 2011 and 2018.
During that time, she faced bullying, became a surrogate and ordered the death of Eva Falco, before leaving for a new life in Barcelona.
The actress announced her pregnancy back in February on Instagram, and fellow Hollyoaks stars rushed to congratulate her on the news.
She revealed that the baby was due in the summer, calling this her ‘biggest adventure yet.
‘Summer 2023 is set to be a wild one! Can’t wait to cause mayhem with a mini Franks-Potter,’ she captioned the post.
Since then, she has been on a ‘babymoon’ to Tenerife with partner Danny Potter, where she opened up about her pregnancy to Manchester Evening News, and the thing she’s found the most ‘bizarre’.
‘My ankles have swollen up to the size of golf balls which is probably the biggest issue I’ve had so far. They look bizarre,’ she revealed.
Despite this, she has described her pregnancy as being ‘really nice’, and not as difficult as she expected.
‘I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant. I’m not going to lie to you, it’s been pretty … I don’t want to say easy. But I just expected it to be a lot more difficult.
‘I’ve had a really nice pregnancy, really low risk which I’m so thankful for.’

The baby is due this summer.
