Harry Dunn: President Biden ‘sympathetic’ – PM

Boris Johnson said he and President Biden are “working together” to end the row over whether Anne Sacoolas should face trial over the death of teenager Harry Dunn.

Sacoolas claimed diplomatic immunity after Dunn’s death when her car hit his motorbike almost two years ago.

PM Boris Johnson, who met President Biden at the G7, said Biden was “extremely sympathetic” and “actively engaged” in the case.

    • Sacoolas has claimed diplomatic immunity, could be overturned

Harry’s mother said she “couldn’t be more grateful.”

She said: “It means a tremendous amount that the first time that Mr Johnson gets an opportunity to meet President Biden face-to-face he raises Harry.”

The confirmation of talks comes after Donald Trump refused to intervene.

The news raises hope that Ms Sacoolas could be stripped of diplomatic immunity and ordered to face a British court over Harry’s death.
