Former Gucci’s luxury London property lists for £54M
The former global headquarters of the luxury brand Gucci has been listed for a massive £54M ($66M). You can also rent the building for more than £39,000 a week.
The historic 12,621 square foot townhouse is located in the tony Mayfair neighbourhood in London’s West End. It has a double garage, a cinema, a sunroom, an indoor swimming pool, a marble-lined plunge pool, a steam room, a sauna and “four secure vaults.”
According to the listing, the townhouse is the last remaining private townhouse on Grafton Street.
The Neoclassical-style building was completed in 1772 and was once home to Lord Chancellor Brougham – who entertained the likes of Queen Victoria. Gucci moved into the historic building in 1998, following the fatal shooting of Maurizio Gucci in the lobby of the company’s Milan headquarters. They chose London’s Grafton Street near Gucci’s Bond Street store.
Former Gucci creative director Tom Ford moved into the first-floor drawing room – and it was there that in 2000 he “hosted and mesmerized fashion designer Alexander McQueen and persuaded him to join Gucci group,” he also hosted Anna Wintour.
Many famous names and fashion events took place in the building until 2010 when former Gucci CEO Robert Polet relocated the company’s HQ to Switzerland and sold the London mansion.

The luxury London home ‘radiates elegance’
The modern amenities are mostly located on the basement level, whilst the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home also features plenty of period details, including the first-floor dining room’s carved wood chimneypiece, original Georgian fireplaces, parquet flooring and ornate plasterwork.
