France ‘amber plus’ list move branded ‘total disaster which could destroy travel industry’
The i says the Government’s U-turn on arrivals from France is a “total disaster” and tourism operators face going bust if the “amber-plus” list grows, industry figures have warned.
Fully-jabbed travellers returning to England and Wales from amber list countries are now exempt from self-isolation, but on Friday the Government announced the new rule would not apply to France because of concerns over the spread of the Beta variant of Covid, first identified in South Africa.
