Genius or atrocious? (Picture: Getty/Lene)
Over the last few years, it’s safe to say that crocs have had the rebrand of the century.
From the world’s most hated shoe to a marker of both style and comfort, it’s been quite the comeback.
For some, the world’s gone mad. Crocs and Jibbitz are in, skinny jeans are out. Where did we go wrong?!
And now, to elevate your Crocs even further, homeware company Lene has brought out the ultimate accessory: headlights.
The hilarious accessory that slots into the holes of the shoe comes in five colours: red, blue, silver, black and gold, and are currently on sale for £16 (though the usual RRP is more than £30).
‘Light up the night by your feet,’ the product description reads.
‘Apply for night outdoor exercise, night running, hiking, cycling, or walking.’
While it’s unlikely anyone will be cycling, running or hiking in their crocs, you have to admit these headlights are pretty nifty, especially if you’re leaving your tent at a festival, going from your bed to the loo in the middle of the night.
Some Twitter users are totally hear for the handy headlights.
‘Oh my gosh,’ wrote one. ‘I have Bae Platform Crocs, this would be too cute when I walk in the dark on my farm.’
Others think they’re no worse than crocs themselves, so you may as well.
‘So, listen. If you are going to wear Crocs, you may as well go all in and get the headlights. With any luck they’ll be selling a horn pretty soon,’ one user commented on Lene’s post.
Others aren’t as convinced: ‘this one is very questionable,’ wrote one.
Another said: ‘Great way to never get a date!’
Others called for innovation, like bluetooth connection, different coloured lights and a police siren.
You can buy yourself a Lene’s headlight for Crocs for £15.62.
