Wed then dead? (Picture: ITV)
They say the earth is meant to move on your honeymoon, but Emmerdale’s Kim Tate (Claire King) wasn’t quite expecting a massive quad bike explosion to send her flying.
There is a huge fear that she may be dead in the tragedy, but rewind a few hours and she was crying with happiness at the altar as she wed Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
It had seemed like the marriage wouldn’t go ahead initially; Kim had overheard a secret meeting between Will and his ex Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton), in which she declared her love for him.
On the morning of the wedding, Will was dismissive of Kim’s scathing concerns, and reiterated his love.
He told her that he hoped she would turn up at the wedding; and he would be heartbroken if she didn’t.
Some unfinished business for Kim led her to Harriet’s cottage, where she confronted her love rival.

Harriet was initially hopeful that Will reciprocated her feelings; but Kim touched a nerve when she told her that Will could never love her.
Harriet snapped and grabbed her by the throat, but Kim shocked her by revealing that she knew all about her conversation with Harriet; and he had dismissed the possibility of having any feelings for her.
Harriet broke down in tears as Kim headed back to Home Farm to prepare for the big day.
At the church, Will was amazed to see his bride arrive elegantly on a horse, dressed in a scarlet equestrian outfit.
Harriet arrived on the sidelines and Kim fixed her with a dangerous look; but Harriet was just there to concede defeat, and she shared a dignified nod of acceptance with Kim.

In the church, fans wondered if Kim planned to ditch Will at the altar but, uncharacteristically, Kim exposed her emotions to the congregation, gushing with love for her now husband, and shedding some happy tears.
Awww! Happy ever after it is, then.
Well, no. Along with Harriet, Kim headed out into a dangerous storm in search of missing Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).
Kim later found Harriet trapped under a crashed quad bike and, as she tried to help her former enemy, lightning struck the vehicle and the explosion left both women seemingly lifeless.
Has Kim just experienced one of soap’s shortest ever marriages? And is Will about to get the news that both his wife and his ex are dead?
