Charity has issued a serious threat (Picture: ITV)
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) made a worrying threat in recent Emmerdale scenes that may have foreshadowed what is to come in this year’s Super Soap Week.
We already know that Charity is set to feature heavily in the huge October week, with actress Emma Atkins hinting that she may be set to take serious revenge on husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) after his betrayal.
Charity’s world was torn apart when it was revealed that Mack was the father of Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) son, Reuben.
Since then, the pair have been at odds, coming together only for an ill-advised one night stand earlier this week.
Following their night of passion, Charity grappled with whether or not to spill the gory details to Chloe, in a bid to get her own back, but ultimately decided against it.
Could this be because she has a more permanent solution in mind?
While Charity was wallowing in the backroom, best friend Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) urged her not to ‘let Mack do this to her again’.
It was then that Charity said the line that could hold the biggest clue yet as to what may be in store for Super Soap Week.
‘If I kill him, he won’t get the chance.’
We’ve got chills.

When Chas insisted that she be serious, Charity asked her how she knew that she wasn’t, further stoking our theory that Charity may be set to murder Mack in her revenge plot.
Emma Atkins previously revealed to Digital Spy that Super Soap Week is going to be ‘spectacular in one way or another’, and hinted that Charity is set to be heavily involved.
‘At the moment [Charity is] in a very angry state of mind. I think there’s definitely vengeance on the cards, in terms of: how can she actually allow this guy to have done what he’s done?
‘So she’s toying with that and all of her family and friends are saying: “Just leave it, walk away, forget it, move on”. She’s like: “No!”‘
‘I think the future will very much be about her confronting those issues, because it’s left her quite broken.

‘At the moment she’s too broken to deal with anything, but she’s just letting people know it’s in her arsenal, it’s there, it’s not going away, it’s not dying down.
‘She was hoping very much for it to do that and it’s not, it’s got worse.’
At the end of tonight’s (August 25) episode, we saw Charity confide in cousin Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) about how much Mack’s betrayal had hurt her, asking him why she wasn’t enough for him.
Could her pain fuel her actions in the coming months and lead her to kill?
