Ryan Reynolds has us all cutting onions with his surprisingly sweet tribute to wife Blake Lively on her birthday.
The Gossip Girl actress and her husband usually commemorate big days by ruthlessly mocking each other on social media, with fans living for every moment.
However, this year the Deadpool star shared a slightly different tribute, heaping praise on his partner in a soppy caption to celebrate her 36th birthday, with a string of stunning photos.
‘The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person,’ the 46-year-old captioned the post.
‘Witnessing her life is something I couldn’t take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try.
‘Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You hung the damn moon.’
Fans were living for Ryan’s post and rushed to the comments below to let him know how lucky he is to have Blake in his life.
‘Happy birthday to Blake, but you had the greatest gift, Ryan. You got her,’ a follower wrote.
Another agreed: ‘@vancityreynolds, let me say you’re the LUCKIEST person in this planet to have her in your life! Literally. Happy Birthday @blakelively.’

However, an Instagram user was gutted to miss out on his usual antics, confessing: ‘Ahh dude, I waited a whole year for the annual birthday roasting!!! (Happy birthday @blakelively).’
Well, there’s always next year…
Blake’s birthday got off to an epic start as she shared an advert for her mixer brand, Betty Booze, starring none other than Paul Hollywood.
In the hilarious clip, the mom-of-four could be seen popping over to the Great British Bake Off judge’s home, where she handed him a selection of her drinks.
Known for making even the stoic of bakers a little nervous, he kept the star on tenterhooks before telling her: ‘I really like it.’

‘It is absolutely beautiful. I think really good. The tang, the balance with the ginger, it’s spot on.’
Paul then reached out his arms and appeared posed to offer the birthday girl his coveted Hollywood Handshake, before avoiding her completely and nabbing another can.
It might not be a handshake but it’s a huge compliment from the notably hard-to-please star.
