Eamonn Holmes confirms This Morning exit as he quits show to join rival channel
The Daily Mirror says Eamonn Holmes has left ITV’s This Morning to join a rival channel.
The veteran reporter’s departure was confirmed today by GB News after The Mirror exclusively revealed the star was making the move in November.
The TV presenter, 62, will host a new programme in the New Year and is said to be ‘excited’ about his new role and being able to ‘give a voice to the unheard’.
Eamonn – who has appeared on This Morning for 15-years – said: “I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet.
“It’s just the kind of shake-up the industry needs.”
He added: “I’ve admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate but delivered with warmth and even some fun.”
