Former President Donald Trump has retired his infamous ‘Crooked Hillary’ nickname in order to incorporate it towards his newly announced 2024 opponent.
Trump made the announcement during a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday night, his first campaign event since President Joe Biden launched his reelection bid.
‘I will be retiring the name “Crooked” from Hillary Clinton,’ Trump said before about 2,000 fans.
‘I’m going to give her a new name – I don’t know, like maybe “Lovely Hillary” or “Beautiful Hillary” – but I’m going to retire the name “Crooked” so that we can use the name for Joe Biden, because he’ll be known from now on as “Crooked Joe Biden.”‘

Trump added that Clinton is ‘out there someplace celebrating’ that he retired her nickname.
He claimed that there has ‘never been anyone in the history of American politics so crooked or dishonest as Joe Biden’ and that he ‘poses a threat to democracy’.
Trump said he will ‘settle our unfinished business’ and ‘crush’ Biden in the upcoming presidential election.
The 45th president first called Clinton ‘crooked’ during the 2016 presidential campaign, accusing her of a track record of unethical practices especially when she served as Secretary of State.
Among Trump’s allegations were that Clinton mishandled classified materials and deleted elements to hide her actions. The FBI investigated Clinton and her private email server, but did not ultimately charge her.
Trump is known to come up with insulting nicknames for his political opponents. In the 2020 election cycle, he called another Democratic candidate, Elizabeth Warren, ‘Pocahontas’ over her claim that she had Native American heritage. Earlier this year, he nicknamed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis a potential challenger for the Republican nomination, ‘DeSanctus’.
Biden launched his 2024 campaign on Tuesday with a video that started with footage from the January 6 Capitol riot, in which Trump’s fans stormed the US Capitol building.
‘Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms,’ tweeted Biden.
His video states: ‘Let’s finish the job.’
Trump has been calling Biden, 80, ‘Sleepy Joe’, calling him out for appearing to all asleep at global conferences.
