Demi Lovato and Viola Davis were among a host of A-listers who angrily shared their feelings online following a mass shooting at a school in Nashville.
Their response came after a woman holding two ‘assault-style’ rifles and a pistol killed three adults and three nine-year-old students at a private Christian school on Monday.
It is believed the suspect – who was killed by police – was a former student at The Covenant School in the Texan state.
The victims have since been identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all nine years old, and adults Cynthia Peak, 61; Katherine Koonce, 60; and Mike Hill, 61.
Following the news of the tragic incident, American celebrities took to social media to condemn the horrific event and share their views on gun laws in the country.
Singer Demi reposted a news report to her Instagram Story along with a post that indicated the shocking ‘number of mass shootings in 2023’ versus the lack of ‘gun safety bills signed’.

She also shared a black and white list of the victims’ names.
Oscar-winning actress Viola joined the Heart Attack singer in posting a report from Fox News to her Instagram along with the caption: ‘We’ve already had over 100 mass shootings this year. We far exceed countries that we perceive as uber violent. Once again….my heart goes out to every family, loved one affected by the shooting in Nashville…..God bless those children. Devastating [sic]’.
Rapper Cardi B posted an angry statement to her own Instagram Story above a Reel showing security footage from the school that read: ‘S**t makes me shake…I f***in wish she went through a lot of pain before she died [sic]’.

Niecy Nash broke down in tears as she sent prayers to the victims of the Nashville school shooting.
The 53-year-old actress lost her brother Michael when he was a 15-year-old student in 1993 after a high school love triangle led to him being shot by a classmate.
Claiming we are ‘losing our way’ in society, she said in a TikTok video: ‘In 1993, my only brother was killed on his high school campus because somebody brought a gun to school.

‘It’s 2023, and there (are) babies who will never make it home to see their parents and those parents will forever be in a space where they’re like: “What was the last thing I said? What was the last lunch I made? What was their last thought (or) experience? Did they call out for me?”
‘These are the wrong things. It’s the wrong thing, and it is indeed the wrong time. We are losing our way.
‘Some political groups are so focused on the wrong thing that our children are dying. And there ain’t no coming back from that… not even a little bit.
‘I am so sorry. And my prayers go out to those families, ’cause it’s a pain that I don’t wish on nobody. School is the one place where children should be safe.
‘Now, they’ll be safe getting on an airplane. But school? That’s another thing. And it shouldn’t be’.
Other celebrities sharing their heartbreak included Avengers actor Josh Brolin who penned a frustrated message about the lack of response from American lawmakers to the increasing number of shootings.
It read: ‘ENOUGH!!!!!! Whether you’re a “It’s the people not the guns” or a “It’s the guns, not the people” to say that our country is actively doing anything in its power to help avert this absolute random slaughter of our children, categorizes you in either total denial or living some fantasy of ambush that should render you unfit to take care of yourself or others’.
He wrapped up his passionate statement with: ‘F*** you, America, for not protecting your children’.

Justin Timberlake, Kerry Washington and Olivia Munn all shared posts in memory of the six victims while Kourtney Kardashian reposted screenshots of news articles outlining what happened with the captions: ‘Again & again & again [sic]’, as well as a string of broken heart emojis.
