The Sun: SUN writer Deborah James honoured with Damehood after capturing the hearts of the nation with her heart-wrenchingly honest account of having bowel cancer.

The mum of two, 40, has raised £3.6million since Monday when she revealed she was on end-of-life care.

Hero cancer campaigner Deborah James told of her shock at being made a Dame saying: “OMFG, this is crazy.”

Brave Deborah added: “I don’t know what to say. I’m blown away and feel incredibly honoured.
