The dangerous work continues (Pictures: ITV)

Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) heads undercover again in Coronation Street as his dangerous new job continues.

Last month, it was revealed that Spider had started working as an undercover police officer and very nearly put his job on the line for Toyah’s (Georgia Taylor) sake.

DS Swain (Vicky Myers), who was investigating Imran’s death at the time, told Spider to gather extra information on Toyah and find proof that she did intend to kill her husband.

This put Spider in a perilous situation, as he had just started developing feelings for his old pal again, but was also incredibly dedicated to his work.

Following the huge revelation, we haven’t seen much of the beloved character, but that’s all set to change next week as Spider meets up with Toyah, Chris Gascoyne) and Griff (Michael Condron), who invites them to a gig, explaining it’s a mystery band who announces their dates and events via social media.

Toyah and Spider swerve the gig, agreeing they’d like to just spend time by themselves instead.

However, when Spider meets up with his boss, they tell him he must attend the gig with Griff.

Forced to ditch Toyah, Spider explains that he’s off to the event after all which leaves her feeling put out.

But what danger will Spider and Griff land themselves in?

As Spider’s storyline picks up again, he takes further risks.
