Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) recently gave in to the feelings they have for each other that have been building ever since the devastating acid attack in Coronation Street.
Having gone through the trauma of the acid attack together they’ve become very close as Daisy supported Ryan through his recovery.
After he admitted to her that he’d become addicted to using steroids in an effort to cope with his traumatised feelings about his body image, he felt brave enough to expose his scarred face to his social media followers. Seeing this livestream, Daisy went to tell him how proud she was of him.
A hug turned into a kiss and the pair were soon heading for the bedroom. Daisy quickly regretted giving in to her feelings like this because of her relationship with Daniel (Rob Mallard), and everything became even more complicated when Lauren (Cait Fitton) revealed she knew what had happened and started blackmailing them.

This complex situation doesn’t get any easier in upcoming episodes as Daisy confronts Lauren over the blackmail and insists she won’t be giving her any more money. Will Lauren follow through with her threat to expose Ryan and Daisy’s actions to Daniel?
For Daisy the feelings she has for Ryan haven’t gone away at all and when she sees someone staring at Ryan’s scars in the bistro, she’s full of admiration when Ryan deals with the situation brilliantly.

He tells her that he couldn’t have coped as well as he is currently doing without her support, and there’s a charged moment between them as it’s clear that they both feel the same way.
Ryan needs someone to talk to about all this and he chooses to confide in Debbie (Sue Devaney), telling her that he’s in love with Daisy – and he thinks she feels the same about him.

Debbie is in no doubt that there’s only one way this can go for Ryan. She tells him he’s going to end up getting hurt and advises him to steer well clear of Daisy for his own good.
It’s an opinion that’s also shared by Charlotte Jordan, who told us on the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards, ‘She’s very indebted to Ryan but she also knows she’s promised to build a life with Daniel so she’s torn between the two of them – and she deals with it in the worst way possible.
‘She’ll make a nice mess of things and then everyone will be heartbroken!’
