The Celebrity Traitors has done the unthinkable and already axed three of its all-star cast in the show’s second week.
The BBC One hit returned for a third episode on Wednesday, after last week’s premiere become an instant water-cooler hit and cemented Alan Carr’s national treasure status.
But after Paloma Faith became the first star to be murdered in the Scottish castle, there was more bloodshed in the latest episode when three stars were sent packing in quick succession.
The first to go was YouTube prankster Niko Omilana, who fell at the first roundtable after the celebrities in his midst thought his day job of playing tricks on people was just too suspicious – despite it having little to do with the actual castle gameplay.
But, Niko wasn’t the only one out the door as the cloaked Traitors then met under the cover of darkness to commit their second murder.
The trio of Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns decided it was Olympian Tom Daley’s turn to go, cutting short what has been a heavy-hitting run as the chairman of the Kate Garraway Suspicions Club.

Daley might be gone, but his heavy eyeroll and doubts over the authenticity of using the word ‘flabbergasted’ will live on in the fandom for a long time to come.
But even with all that star power on the train home, this third episode of the show was not quite done with serving up the twists.
The third star to meet an untimely fate was actress Tameka Empson, who saw herself the victim of the latest and not-so-greatest roundtable, which once again saw the cast banish a fellow Faithful.

It was a series of tough pills for viewers to take, with many disappointed Niko had seen his last roundtable. @janro3011 tweeted: ‘Okay this vote is clearly personal because of who he is outside of the game. Niko’s defence was amazing! Gutted.’
@AnitaNkadi added: ‘Justice for Niko, PRAYINGGGG for a twist that brings him back.’
BBC viewers were equally surprised to see Tom Daley depart, after a classic Traitors shower scene, with @rachel_rj6 writing: ‘Got to love the production team for giving out that Tom Daley shower content before announcing he’s been murdered lmao.’
@Eleanor81386912 wrote: ‘TOM AND NIKO YOU’RE JOKING WHAT THE HELL WHY AM I EVEN WATCHING IT ATP.’
As the third roundtable got underway and Tameka became the clear target, @JS_TV01 wrote: ‘Nah cause why they tryna get rid of all the best contestants.’
@thirlwclls wrote: ‘Not our Kim. How did that even sway towards Tameka??’
@DylanEvans95_ gushed: ‘THAT has to be one of the most exciting roundtables ever! So chaotic!’
The Traitors might look like they’ve got the upper hand, but Ross’s days in particular are looking numbered – with the show set to return for yet more treachery on Thursday night. We can’t wait.
The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday on BBC One.
