The HSBC Tower in Canary Wharf is set for redevelopment as HSBC prepares to vacate in 2027. The Qatar Investment Authority and Canary Wharf Group plan to transform the iconic building into a mixed-use space featuring a hotel, restaurants, leisure facilities, and offices, estimated to cost between £800 million and £1 billion.
Salem Rekoub, a Deliveroo worker, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for raping a woman he found semi-conscious at a bus stop. The assault, which occurred in July 2024, lasted 17 minutes and left the victim with multiple injuries and ongoing health issues.
