Cardi B has fired back at Madonna after the Vogue hitmaker claimed that she paved the way for female artists to express their sexuality.
Reflecting on the 30th anniversary of her album Erotica, the 4 Minutes icon shared the intense criticism she faced over her scandalous 1992 Sex coffee table book.
‘30 years ago I published a book called S.E.X. In addition to photos of me naked there were photos of Men kissing Men, Women kissing Women and Me kissing everyone,’ she penned.
Addressing notable names in the industry, she added: ‘Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked ass and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball,’ the pop icon said. ‘You’re welcome b—-es.’
However, Madonna’s shout-out didn’t sit well with the Bodak Yellow rapper, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar.
‘I literally payed this woman homage so many times cause I grew up listening to her,’ she shared on Twitter.
‘She can make her point without putting clown emojis and getting slick out the mouth.
‘These icons really become disappointments once u make it in the industry that’s why I keep to myself.’

The 64-year-old, aka the Queen of pop, has always presented a sex-positive message in her artistry and was once asked about the idea that ‘everyone is born bisexual’ in a 1995 interview with MTV.
She responded: ‘I don’t have an answer for that. I think whatever it is we should embrace it and never make ourselves or other people feel ashamed for whatever it is.’
