Brit ‘kidnapped’ in Italy is accused by his alleged captors of staging it
The Metro says a former private schoolboy has been accused of staging his own kidnap and torture to claim thousands of pounds in ransom money from his dad.
Sam Demilecamps, from London, was holidaying in Italy when he was allegedly abducted and held captive for eight days in an apartment in the small northern town of Monte San Giusto.
The 25-year-old was freed nearly two weeks ago but his shocking story has now been contested by his own ‘captors’.
Italian police found him starved and chained to a radiator on October 13 after he phoned his wealthy dad saying he needed £6,000 or he would be dead the next day.
