The Guardian – Brexit blamed as UK drug shortages put lives at risk
The Guardian says drug shortages are Britain’s “new normal” and the situation is being made worse by Brexit. It leads on a report by the health think tank Nuffield Trust who said the shortages have been exacerbated by Brexit. The paper says the medicines affected include those used to treat epilepsy, type 2 diabetes, and ADHD and that pharmacy bosses have warned the shortages are endangering the lives of those with the most serious illnesses.
