Brad Pitt was so ‘embarrassed’ by a spot on his bum while stripping off for his role in Thelma & Louise, co-star Geena David has claimed.
The Ocean’s Eleven actor starred as JD in the hugely popular 1991 film, marking one of his first roles on the big screen.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the 58-year-old, as he had to strip off for a sex scene with a ‘pimple’ on his bum.
In an extract from Geena’s new autobiography, Dying of Politeness, she recalled their steamy moment, and revealed that a make-up artist covered it up after every single take.
‘Brad, for his part, couldn’t have cared less about all the fuss over his looks,’ she wrote in the pages, via the Sun. ‘He was just embarrassed about a tiny little pimple on his butt that the make-up gal re-covered after each take.’
Reflecting on how she felt during the filming, Geena – who starred as Thelma Dickinson opposite Susan Sarandon’s Louise Sawyer – explained that she was initially ‘uncomfortable’ with how much skin she had on show.
‘I was uncomfortable with the projected extent of skin I was being asked to show, so [director] Ridley Scott found himself interviewing a slew of body doubles who were more used to flashing the flesh than I was,’ she continued.
‘A line of them snaked through the lot where we were filming, right past my trailer door, and I couldn’t stand it any longer – I’d worked as a model, after all – so I told Ridley I’d do it.
‘I needn’t have worried. Ridley seemed much more concerned about how Brad looked than I did in that scene, making sure the lighting was just so, and even personally spraying Brad’s abs with Evian.’

Thelma and Louise followed two best friends enjoying a road trip to the mountains to escape their dreary lives, but were met with trouble at every turn.
Brad recently spoke of his time playing JD and shared his gratitude that Geena and Ridley took a chance on him.
‘I had nothing to show for myself, except for my work as an extra, and they took a chance on me,’ he said in an interview published by the Sun.

‘I’m more aware of how high my voice is in it. My ass must have been clenched so tight, being the first one.’
‘I think they (the filmmakers) were desperate, to tell you the truth,’ he suggested. ‘They were already shooting because a week later I was on set, working.’
Reps for Brad declined to comment.
