Beijing ‘hurt’ by US coverage of Olympics as Taiwan and South China Sea not on world map
The Express says it is the latest point of tension between the two superpowers. China’s consulate in New York accused NBC of displaying an “incomplete map” which “hurt the dignity and emotions of the Chinese people”.
“We urge NBC to recognise the serious nature of this problem and take measures to correct the error,” their post on social media platform Weibo said, as reported by Reuters.
