BBC viewers stunned as Piers Morgan calls out former Prime Minister

BBC viewers found themselves stunned to be in agreement with Piers Morgan after he took aim at former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

During the latest Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, the broadcaster slammed Boris Johnson, claiming the ex PM ‘didn’t care’ about the pandemic and also slammed other politicians involved at the time.

‘It was a complete disgrace,’ he ranted.

‘The idea that Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock are off making millions of pounds off the back of this catastrophic failure of leadership, in this crucial moment for our country, I find sickening.’

Morgan, 58, later branded the handling of the 2020 pandemic as ‘shameful’ and asked Lord Bethell, who was a minister at the time, his opinion.

‘I agree, our response was slowed by the struggle we had to get Downing Street to focus… Boris Johnson found it difficult to stick to decisions,’ he replied.

Viewers quickly took to X, aka Twitter, to share their thoughts on Morgan’s bold statement.

One person wrote: ‘Not a fan of Piers Morgan but agree with everything he said on Laura Kuenssberg this morning and he has the guts to say what he feels.”

Another added: ‘Isn’t it a bit strange agreeing with Piers Morgan.’

A third penned: ‘Well said @piersmorgan thanks for saying what many people without a voice feel.

One viewer echoed: ‘Don’t normally agree with P Morgan, but he’s spot on, in his anger.’

This comes after Morgan’s Uncensored gained traction over interviews with the likes of Priscilla Presley and Captain Sir Tom Moore’s family, while elsewhere continued coverage of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

However, his family have now been left worried and claimed he hasn’t been looking after himself.

Incidentally, fwiw, my LA doc said he’s recently had 100s of people in with similar symptoms & most tested positive for Covid several weeks before. (I didn’t but he thinks I had it). The new strains seem to be mildish on infection but spark lingering crap for weeks afterwards. https://t.co/6qwJLV6JhK

In a grim update, Morgan wrote on X: ‘To all concerned viewers (including my mother & sister!) who think I’ve looked less than [100], I’ve been diagnosed with bronchitis, sinusitis & conjunctivitis – a gloriously vile trifecta of wheezing, sneezing, pink-eyed hell.

‘Apologies if my head caused more offence than usual.’

He went on to address suspicions that he has a mild form of Covid, as a new variant has led to rising cases.

Morgan added: ‘Incidentally, fwiw, my LA doc said he’s recently had 100s of people in with similar symptoms & most tested positive for Covid several weeks before. (I didn’t but he thinks I had it).

‘The new strains seem to be mildish on infection but spark lingering crap for weeks afterwards.’
