Back To The Future stars Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd have reunited at New York Comic Con, leaving fans in tears.
The stars, who played Marty McFly (Michael) and Dr Emmett Brown, aka Doc (Christopher), shared a hug as they took to the stage together at a Back To The Future panel 37 years after the film’s release.
They had nothing but praise for each other, with Michael saying: ‘The best part of this movie was working with Chris,’ and adding that the pair had ‘immediate chemistry.’
Fans were thrilled to see the duo back together, with one writing on Twitter: ‘If you were a teenager in 1985, then Michael J. Fox was your guy. Marty McFly in Back to the Future is the coolest teenager in cinema history. Watching him hug Christopher Lloyd like this is so beautiful..’
‘Oh man. Love these two. Michael J. Fox is a warrior,’ another said, while one more added: ‘This is beautiful. Great to see these two together. Michael J. Fox personifies courage and grace.’
Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, in 1991.

He has been open about how it’s affected him and opened the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which is ‘dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through funded research and ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today’.
Earlier this year, Michael opened up on his Parkinson’s, explaining on Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out podcast: ‘When I did the spinoff from The Good Wife, which is The Good Fight, I couldn’t remember the lines. I just had this blank, I couldn’t remember the lines.’

He added: ‘I have 70 pages of dialogue on a [Brian] De Palma movie, and knowing that a hugely expensive Steadicam shot depends on me knowing the lines — not a trickle of sweat on my brow.’
Michael now knows his limitations when it comes to memorising his lines and doesn’t let it get to him, adding: ‘I can’t remember five pages of dialogue. I can’t do it. So I go to the beach.’
He previously told People about his ongoing Parkinson’s symptoms in 2020, which include tremors and memory problems.
‘My short-term memory is shot,’ he admitted.
‘I’m down to [writing]. My guitar playing is no good. My sketching is no good anymore, my dancing never was good and acting is getting tougher to do. So it’s down to writing. Luckily, I really enjoy it.’
