Israel-Palestine: 1,550 Palestinians arrested by Israel police amid Gaza tension Israel has launched a crackdown against Palestinians who participated in recent protests against the Israeli aggression.  So far, 1,550 Palestinians have been arrested in the last two weeks, it comes amid protests against Israel’s aggression in occupied West Bank and Gaza.  “The campaign is a direct continuation of police activity in the past two weeks and more than 1,550 suspects have been arrested with about 150 indictments filed,” Israeli police said in a statement on Monday. Bahrain Covid-19: Record deaths as cases surge Bahrain announced its highest death figure since the pandemic began. 18 killed – incl children in Peru massacre At least 18 dead – including two children – in a remote part of Peru known for coca production. EU sanctions Belarus after Ryanair highjack   EU leaders have decided to ban Belarusian airlines from European skies after the ‘hijacking’ to arrest a journalist on Sunday.  All 27 leaders met in Brussels to discuss the next step forward. BBC announces review of editorial practice after Diana report  The BBC Board will review its corporation’s editorial and whistleblowing policies, the board announced.
