Tottenham sack interim manager after Newcastle thrashing Tottenham Hotspur have sacked interim manager Cristian Stellini after just four matches in charge, following a 6-1 thrashing by Newcastle on Sunday. The defeat was described as “wholly unacceptable” by the club’s chairman Daniel Levy, and marks a significant blow to Spurs’ hopes of securing Champions League qualification. Stellini was appointed on 26 March following Antonio Conte’s departure after 16 months in the post. UK government borrowed less than expected last year The UK government borrowed less than expected in the financial year ending 31 March, despite providing support for households’ energy bills and facing higher borrowing costs. UK government begins large-scale evacuation of British people The UK government has announced a “large-scale” complex evacuation of British citizens from Sudan, prioritising families with children, the elderly, and those with medical conditions.  The RAF will conduct flights from an airfield near Khartoum, the country’s capital. CNN anchor furious after being fired from show CNN co-host Don Lemon has been fired following accusations of misogyny and misbehaviour, according to reports. Lemon was dismissed from the network after he made remarks about Republican Nikki Haley not being “in her prime” earlier this year, which were widely condemned as sexist.
