Alex Turner is back on top form despite being struck down by acute laryngitis ahead of Arctic Monkeys’ Glastonbury set.
The rockers headlined on Friday night, taking to the Pyramid Stage to a roaring reception.
It comes after Turner was forced to cancel a gig in Dublin earlier this week, throwing their Glasto slot into uncertainty.
Thankfully, after resting on doctor’s orders, the 37-year-old was able to bounce back, and you’d never even know he was ill.
He led the show in his classic suave style, donning a black suit and white open-collar shirt paired with dark sunglasses.
Addressing the crowd, he said: ‘Greetings, Somerset’, before striking up the chords of Snap Out Of It.

The rock band then rolled through their hit tracks including Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair and Crying Lightning.
After a brief spell at the piano, Turner brought the energy back up for their 2013 song Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High.
After he finished the song, he told the crowd: ‘Thank you, how kind you are.’
The band kept their staging minimal with spotlights dancing across the stage and crowd as they moved through their coveted slot.
After performing Arabella, Turner described the moment as ‘outstanding’ before playing Four Out Of Five, saying: ‘Effective. Very effective. What a night, what a night.’
The tens of thousands of festival-goers appeared to approve of the set-list as they belted it back to the Sheffield-formed band.

‘The Monkeys are back on the farm… wow,’ Turner said.
Fans at home were also keen to be part of the action, despite not being at Worthy Farm, tweeting along with the set.
One praised Turner’s ‘absolutely ace’ vocals.
‘Alex Turner is excellent. Bloke had no voice a few days ago’, tweeted another.
Another tweeted: ‘alex turner the man that you are!!!!’
‘Crushin on Alex Turner all over again’, another declared unashamedly.

In a statement issued on Monday, Arctic Monkeys sent fans into a frenzy as they started fretting over whether they’d be at Glasto at all.
‘We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys’ show at Marlay Park in Dublin tomorrow,’ they wrote on social media.
‘Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis and following medical advice, has been ordered to rest.
‘Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans.’
‘Full refunds will be credited back to the ticket purchaser’s account,’ they concluded.

The cancellation was a huge blow to Irish fans, as the show marked the Sheffield rockers’ only scheduled show in Ireland.
Thankfully for Glasto attendees, it was confirmed by organiser Emily Eavis ahead of tonight that the Monkeys were fine to play, after Turner’s girlfriend was previously spotted travelling to the farm to cheer him on.
‘They’re on,’ she told Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2.
‘It was a little bit close there for a minute and we were thinking about whether we should have a serious backup plan in place, but, no, thankfully they’re on, so that’s great.’
Thank God we didn’t need the backup plan!
