The trial of Julia Wandelt, 24, and Karen Spragg, 61, at Leicester Crown Court.
The defendants are accused of one count of stalking the McCann family by emailing, messaging and calling them, as well as turning up at their family home.
Both deny the charge.
So far this week, we’ve heard from Wandelt, from southwest Poland, under questioning from her defence counsel, Tom Price KC.
She explained how she came to question her identity amid struggles with mental health, and then believe she may be the missing British toddler Madeleine McCann.
Wandelt also told the jury of her repeated attempts to contact the McCann family, including turning up at their house with Spragg, trying to talk to Kate and Gerry McCann.
We’re expecting to hear more from her today, with her defence likely to finish questioning before we move on to the prosecution.
