Alejandro Garnacho apologised for Manchester United’s display against Liverpool (Picture: Getty)
Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho says the players are ‘so sorry’ for the club’s humiliating defeat to Liverpool but says they will make amends against Real Betis on Thursday.
The Argentine was a second half substitute in the Red Devils’ devastating loss at Anfield, which was their biggest in Premier League history.
United have little time to dwell on that loss, despite the magnitude of the defeat to their biggest rivals.
They face Real Betis at Old Trafford on Thursday as they look to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
And Garnacho says the players will give supporters a reaction on Thursday, as they’re ‘so sorry’ for their performance on Sunday.
‘We are so sorry,’ wrote Garnacho.
‘We will give you a reaction on Thursday, Reds.’
