Calling all Aldi lovers: the supermarket chain’s bargain bottle of wine, dubbed ‘incredible’ by critics has just been reduced in price.
The much-loved Specially Selected Cairanne Cru des Côtes du Rhône is down from £8.99 to just £3.49, with the offer launching from Monday.
Hailed as the ‘gift to the nation,’ there is just one catch – Aldi are expecting such a run on the red, that you can only buy two bottles per customer.
The offer is also only available for a week – so make sure you don’t miss out..
The limited deal on the raved-about bottle, which usually markets for £8.99, translates to a whopping 61% price drop.
And with a mocha and spice finish, the Specially Selected Cairanne incorporates forest fruits, plums, black cherry and damsons – a perfect Yuletide gift for a loved one, or an accompaniment to your Christmas dinner.
Wine fanatics are hailing the move. Jane MacQuitty, wine critic at The Times first raved about the wine back in the summer, when she added it to her summer list. But, now, she’s told shoppers to ‘set an alert’ to make sure they don’t miss out on the deal.
