US suspends military aid to Ukraine
President Donald Trump suspended military aid to Ukraine on Monday, according to a US official. The move sharply escalates pressure on Kyiv to agree to peace negotiations with Russia and comes just days after a stunning public clash at the White House between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump.
What else has Trump done today?
Zelenksy should be more grateful
“It’s time for this war to end, it can’t drag on for years. (…) We’ve given Ukraine a lot, I think Zelensky should be more grateful,” Trump said at a press conference at the White House, insisting he had not yet decided whether to permanently stop the US aid to Ukraine.
“I haven’t talked about it. A lot of things are happening.” He also stressed that the deal on Ukrainian minerals could still be done.
Trump lashes out Europe again
US President Donald Trump on Monday lambasted European defense spending. “Europe has spent more money buying Russian oil and gas than it has on defending Ukraine. BY FAR!” the Oval Office resident wrote on his Truth Social platform.
