Hamas-run health ministry says 141 killed in Israeli strikes

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza reports that 141 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes since Saturday, with about 400 more injured. One strike targeted a designated humanitarian zone in the al-Mawasi area near Khan Younis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the attack was aimed at senior Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, but his death is not confirmed.

Eyewitnesses in al-Mawasi described the scene as resembling an “earthquake,” with videos showing the aftermath of smouldering wreckage and casualties. The BBC has confirmed the strike occurred within a humanitarian zone.

In another strike, 17 people were killed in a prayer hall in the Shati refugee camp, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency. The Israeli military has yet to comment on this claim.

According to the BBC, the ceasefire negotiations being held in Qatar and Egypt ended on Friday without success.

Netanyahu indicated that the operation was carefully planned, ensuring no hostages were nearby. He vowed to target the entire Hamas leadership. Hamas accused Netanyahu of trying to block a ceasefire and denied that their leaders were the targets. The situation remains tense, with hospitals in Gaza overwhelmed by the influx of casualties.

    I think this child survived.

Israel just bombed a UN school in Nusairat refugee camp and buried more children under rubble.
