Darwin Nunez becomes first player in Premier League history to hit woodwork four times in a match

Darwin Nunez became the first player in Premier League history to hit the woodwork four times in the same match during Liverpool’s win over Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The Reds enjoyed a great night at Anfield, comfortably beating the Blues 4-1 thanks to goals from Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz.

It could have been even more comfortable for the home side if Nunez had his shooting boots on, but instead the Uruguayan managed to hit the woodwork an incredible four times.

He may count himself unlucky with a couple of his efforts, but one came from the penalty spot as he crashed his shot against the post from 12 yards.
