Settling on a baby’s first name can be hard enough – let alone whether it matches with a middle or surname.
But a mum has shared a hilarious reminder to expectant parents when it comes to picking their new arrival’s name.
Samantha Hart’s now viral video stresses how important it is to take shortened initials into account – something she’s found out the hard way.
It’s particularly vital to consider how the first name initial and last name sound together – in other words, the format of most work emails.
This means Samantha’s work email is always some variation of ‘Shart (at) (business name) (dot) (com).’
She explains in her TikTok: ‘At every single workplace, I have received an email from HR the week before I started letting me know that my name does not exactly fit the company email structure as they would intend, and they wondered if I would mind if they gave me a different structure for my email.’
Samantha’s video also received replies from a whole host of individuals who have also felt this pain.
Chris Littman responded and said he’d been dealing with similar issues his whole life, along with Samantha Wallo.
While @LauraG8713 also replied: ‘This happened to my ex husband Paul Enis.’
So there you have it, a little something to consider when choosing a name for your future offspring.
On the topic of baby names, the rising ones that experts never saw coming have been revealed.
Meanwhile a mum has shared regret for the name she gave her four-year-old – adding that he hates it, too.
