Pete Davidson has revealed he was high on ketamine while attending Aretha Franklin’s funeral in 2018.
The comedian, 30, recalls the ’embarrassing’ period of his life in new Netflix special, Turbo Fonzerelli.
He makes the confession minutes into the hour-long show, saying: ‘It’s embarrassing when you’re not on ketamine anymore. You’re like, “Ooh, ugh!”
‘I’m embarrassed. I was out and about like that. That’s not cool, you know?
‘I was at funerals like that. That’s f**ked up, right?
‘I was at Aretha Franklin’s funeral like that, yeah, I have to live with that.
‘She’ll never know, but still, it’s not the point.’

The Saturday Night Live star goes on: ‘If she was there, she’d be like, “Hey! Who are you and what the f**k are you doing at my funeral?”
‘It’s embarrassing. I was so high I thought it was a good idea to say to her family, “Hey, I’m just here to pay me R-E-S-P-E-C-Ts.”‘
Pete attended Franklin’s funeral with then-fiancée Ariana Grande, who performed A Natural Woman in a moving tribute.
After performing the track at the private event, attended by those only closest to Franklin, Ariana said: ‘We love you, Aretha.’

A bishop who led the service later apologised to the thank u, next singer after appearing to touch her breasts and sparking outrage online.
Pete, who previously dated Kim Kardashian, has been open about his mental health issues and rehab stints in the past, and revealed in 2018 that he had borderline personality disorder.
In June last year, he checked into rehab and was said to be receiving in-patient therapy, having sought help for post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder in the past.
A source said at the time: ‘Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues.’
They added to People: ‘His friends and family have been supportive during this time.’
