We’ve only just finished devouring the Christmas chocolate but already the supermarket shelves are lined with Easter eggs galore.
If you’ve seen them, you might be interested to know there’s actually a rather sneaky reason as to why shops put Easter treats out straight after the festive period.
It’s a psychological trick that encourages you to buy more out of fear that your favourite treats will have all sold out come March 31st.
And it seems the trick is working a treat, as shoppers are currently going wild over one particular product that’s back on sale in supermarkets.
Nestle fans are raving about an Easter egg that’s being sold that they claim is ‘hands down the best’ one.
Which one is it, you ask?
The KitKat Caramel Cookie Collision Incredible Egg, but it’s not the big Easter egg itself that has caused such a stir — it’s what comes with it.
The egg, which has a caramel-flavoured chocolate shell and real cookie pieces, included is boxed up with two KitKat Chunky Caramel bars and a bag of KitKat Cookie Dough Mini Eggs.
And it’s these mini eggs that people are rejoicing about.
A snap of the sweet treat was uploaded by @newfoodsuk on Instagram, where it has garnered thousands of likes. They captioned the post, writing: ‘We are so glad these beauties are back!!’
And they aren’t the only ones.
A user named @allthetimesnackin said they were their ‘absolute fave’ Easter chocolate, while @gracenicholass replied: ‘This is hands down the best Easter egg’.
She went on to proclaim that Nestle needed to start selling them ‘individually’.
Others begged their friends to buy one if they saw one, while @markwhittamore simply proclaimed ‘Wow!!’
For those interested in buying the Easter egg for themselves, it’s currently being sold for £10 at ASDA.
Shoppers have also found the egg in-store at Tesco, although it’s not listed on their website right now.

If the cookie dough eggs aren’t for you, then fear not as there are a number of new Easter items hitting the shelves this year, including a Salted Caramel Lindt Bunny.
Other new Easter eggs include a Cadbury Caramilk Easter Egg, a Rowntree’s Randoms Incredible Egg with marshmallow and mixed fruity pieces in the shell, and M&S are offering something a little different with Choccy Hot Cross Bun Bites, which are chocolate coated fudge pieces with a light and tasty hot cross bun spice.
