It’s not the news Suki was hoping for (Picture: BBC)
He was left in a pretty bad way at the hands of Denise Fox (Diane Parish), but now the fate of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) has been revealed by EastEnders.
The vile killer confronted Suki (Balvinder Sopal) after being lured to the Vic by five other women of the Square so they could stand up to him and get him out of Suki’s life.
Having discovered Suki’s love for Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and the realisation that she is alive, Nish was on the warpath and determined to keep his long-suffering wife in his abusive clutches.
Things spiralled at the pub when he aggressively grabbed and assaulted Suki, prompting Denise to strike him down with a wine bottle.
The attention of the Six then shifted to Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), who was strangling Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), leading to Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) intervening and stabbing him to death.

All the while, as the women disposed of the body, Nish lay almost lifeless, with Denise begging him to survive.
At the hospital, nurses told Suki that he is in an induced coma only as part of a recovery but the news was good overall – well, so they think anyway.
Suki understandably doesn’t agree.
Nish is alive and likely to pull through, and with the women having blamed Keanu for the attack on him, he will undoubtedly dispute their version of events.
However, it’s six against one and Nish has form – with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), who sported not even a bump from Nish’s rolling pin assault (what a trooper) – saying that no matter what his dad says, he won’t believe him.

Can Suki get through this? (Picture: BBC)
Suki was interrogated by detectives and, thanks to a mishap by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), was quizzed about her relationship with Eve.
Back home, she was reunited with Eve and was on the brink of telling her the truth, but she only went as far as confiding that Nish is alive and police think she is connected to the attack.
Eve vowed to be there for Suki as she insisted she hadn’t done anything and, to be fair, it isn’t exactly a lie – it was Denise who clubbed him one.
It’s only a matter of time until Nish stirs though – and that will bring another nightmare to Suki’s door, not to mention the other women…
