Get you up to speed: Supermarket shoppers urged to bin soup that could burst with awful smell | News UK

Baxters has recalled its Chef Selections Cullen Skink soup due to a manufacturing fault, which may cause the cans to swell and potentially rupture. The recall affects 400g cans with batch code L07XC and an April 2029 best before date, and customers in England and Wales are advised to dispose of the product in outdoor bins.

The Foods Standards Agency (FSA) indicated that the recalled soup may develop an unpleasant odour and flavour if spoilt. Customers who require a replacement can contact Baxters’ customer care team for assistance.

Baxters has issued an urgent recall of its Chef Selections Cullen Skink soup due to a manufacturing fault that could cause the cans to swell and potentially rupture. The Foods Standards Agency (FSA) has instructed consumers in England and Wales to dispose of the affected cans without opening them, and advised those seeking replacements to contact Baxters’ customer care team.

A popular can of soup is at risk of bursting with customers urged to dispose of them in outside bins.

Baxters have recalled their Chef Selections Cullen Skink soup, a smoked haddock chowder, because of a manufacturing fault.

This may cause the product to spoil and cans to ‘swell and potentially rupture’, the Foods Standards Agency (FSA) said.

If spoilt, the soup may have an ‘unpleasant odour and flavour’, the FSA said.

The Scottish soup company said the issue may affect the 400g cans with batch code L07XC and an April 2029 best before date.
