Sainsbury’s shoppers thrilled to see ‘unreal’ Cadbury treat back on shelves

It’s been a great week to be a Cadbury fan, with the chocolate giant announcing a brand new bar and an iconic product making a surprise return to shelves ahead of Christmas.

And now another festive favourite is back as shoppers have spotted the ‘incredible’ sweet treat at Sainsbury’s.

The supermarket is once again stocking the Winter Edition of Cadbury Dairy Milk Pots of Joy, and chocolate lovers are thrilled.

The pudding features a Cadbury milk chocolate chilled dessert, topped with a ‘snowy Christmassy layer’ and a pack of four will set you back £2.70 from the retailer.

News of the item’s return was shared on Facebook by NewfoodsUK, who posted: ‘Dairy Milk Winter Edition Pots of Joy Desserts are back at Sainsbury’s.’

Hundreds of people liked the post, with many flocking to the comments to share their excitement at being able to get their hands on the product again.

One person replied: ‘I love these’, while another said: ‘These are lush’. A number of people tagged their mates, urging them to give the dessert pots a go for themselves.

Another chocoholic branded the dessert ‘a bit of heaven’, while someone else thought they were ‘unreal’.

Those who plan to head to Sainsbury’s to purchase the puds, may also be interested to hear that the supermarket has recently brought back a popular loyalty scheme just in time for Christmas.

Some Sainsbury’s Nectar card holders will be able to double up their points under the latest offer — but you’ll need to be quick as the promotion ends this Friday (November 24).

Known as the Points Power Up, the scheme allows shoppers to double the value of their points.

Nectar points are currently worth 0.5p each, meaning that earning 2,000 points can get you a tenner to spend in store. But under this new scheme, that same 2,000 would get you £20 to spend instead.

However, the trial offer isn’t available to everyone, and (annoyingly) it isn’t clear which Nectar customers are eligible. According to MoneySavingExpert.com, the scheme will be open to more than 100,000 of customers, and you need at least 2,000 points to take part.

The move comes after Sainsbury’s axed its Nectar Connect scheme, which allowed customers to link their bank account to their Nectar card, collecting more points in the process.
