Prince William has wished his father King Charles a very happy 75th birthday.
The Prince and Princess of Wales took to social media to send their wellwishes, writing: “Wishing His Majesty The King a very happy 75th birthday!”
The couple shared three throwback pictures alongside the message, including one from a skiing trip to Switzerland in 2004.
In the image Charles and William sit side by side with the crisp white ski slopes in the background. The father and son look happy and easy in the official snaps.
Another photo is from the King’s first Trooping the Colour as monarch in June, which features Charles and Camilla and the Wales family. This includes William and Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis all waving and smiling from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The final image is a recent solo picture of King Charles.
All of the pictures appear to have been carefully chosen – as none of them feature William’s brother Prince Harry.
Harry did not go to Klosters ski resort with his father and brother in 2004, as William went with his then girlfriend Kate.
The 39-year-old was also absent from this year’s Trooping the Colour because he is no longer a senior working member of the Royal Family.
Harry’s ommission from the photos didn’t go unnoticed by royal fans, as dozens pointed out that he had not been included in any of the family snaps. One person even responded with a picture of Charles and Harry together.
Another wrote: “You ignored the little brother [crying face emoji].”
A third said: “Four people missing from that last picture.” But some disagreed with this sentiment, with one person writing: “That was their choice to leave.”
Others lashed out at those making comments about Harry and pointed out that today should be about Charles.
One fan said: “This is Charles birthday not Harry’s. Why always must be about him??”
