Jade Goody would have been ‘bursting with pride’ at seeing her son Bobby Brazier take part in Strictly Come Dancing, her widower has revealed.
Jack Tweed, 36, who married the Big Brother star a month before her death from cervical cancer in 2009, said Goody would have been ‘over the moon’ after it was announced her son, 20, had joined the BBC show.
He said: ‘Jade would be over-the-moon proud of Bobby and all he’s achieved. For someone so young he has already achieved so much. Bobby has modelled for Dolce & Gabbana and all the top brands.
‘Then he went on to get a job on EastEnders and now he’s appearing on Strictly. Seeing Bobby grow into such a nice young man has been a lovely thing to see. He is absolutely smashing it. Jade would be bursting with pride.’
Jack also said Goody was a Strictly superfan and claimed she would have lifted the Glitterball Trophy had she competed in the ballroom programme.
He continued to The Sun: ‘She was really talented and an amazing singer. She won TV’s Stars In Their Eyes in 2006 because of how great her voice was.

‘Anything Jade put her mind to, she would be amazing at it. She would have won Strictly if she’d had the chance, and Bobby’s just like her.
‘Whatever he puts his mind to, he achieves it.’
Bobby is the eldest child of Goody and her former partner of two years Jeff Brazier. The pair also share son Freddie Brazier, now 18.

It comes after proud dad Jeff reposted the social media post confirming Bobby’s signing and wrote: ‘Go on the boy. Proud of you,’ followed by a red heart emoji.
Speaking about how he thinks his son will do on the dance show, he told the Mirror: ‘I have no doubt he’ll impress people with his politeness and his manners.
‘He has a really beautiful nature, he makes you feel good – that’s his gift. I can’t wait to see him share it with everybody else.’
