Seth Rollins has undergone a major image change (Picture: WWE)
Seth Rollins has got fans feeling nostalgic after going back to blonde with a nod to his early WWE run.
The Visionary and current United States Champion got fans talking over the weekend as he appeared at Sheamus’ wedding in New York City with blonde locks, taking things a step further than the streak he had when The Shield debuted a decade ago.
He got fans talking with a selfie showing just one side of his hairdo, but a picture shared by former WWE star Lana – AKA CJ Perry – on Twitter revealed the full style, which he also showed off at a live event.
It’s a major shift for Rollins’ on screen look, having spent a long time with dark locks and never rocking this much blonde.
It’s fair to say the reaction to the new style has been somewhat mixed, with fans comparing it to Thor’s hair in Love and Thunder, and even WWE Hall of Famer Michael P.S. Hayes.
‘YESSSSSSSS! BLONDE STREAK IS BACKKK BABY (sic),’ tweeted one very excited follower, while a second Twitter user added: ‘I love blonde Seth.’
Another fan admitted the blonde was ‘growing’ on them, and a fourth person said: ‘NGL, that blonde hair on Seth Rollins looks pretty fresh.’
Of course, you can’t pleased everyone, with some people just not sold on such a drastic change, and others wanting Seth to go back to his older style with a blonde streak.
‘Too much blonde it should be like it was before on one side,’ they tweeted, while a different fan had much more pressing concerns when it comes to their own Halloween costume.
They pondered: ‘Okay question- I am dressing up as Seth for Halloween, since his hair is blonde now, do I just leave my hair as is? Or should I try and find a black/brown hair wig to go along with his former hair color?’
Seth was spotted at Sheamus’ nuptials with his wife Becky Lynch and their daughter Roux, who will celebrate her second birthday later this year, and he has previously explained how being a father has changed his approach to wrestling.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, he said: ‘It’s one of those things – for me, it’s extra inspiring. You wanna work harder to make the kid proud and earn as much of a living as you can to provide for that person.
‘I think she’s been extra inspirational in that way, but at the same time, she’s obviously made me think about things in a safer way.’
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
